[Childswickham is in the NE of the county, where there is a strong cluster of Stephens. Olveston is in the W, roughly W of the Sodburys & near the Severn river, almost the other end of the county.]
Little Sodbury Parish register & Bishops' Transcripts
In the index "1754-1845 marriages 1839-45 Banns P.Reg. P301 in 1/2 (Unfit for production)". No record of any parish register surviving or being available for before 1754.

Computer search for 1708 letter to T. Stephens of Sodbury recorded at Berkshire RO as having been transferred to Gloucester RO.

'Walter Walshe was seized of the Manor in 1602.Soon after this the three manors of Old, Little & Chipping Sodbury,were sold to Thomas Stephens, of Lypiatt [etc., usual title]. The Stephenses seem to have resided in the old Manor House, as various members of the family are described on the pedigrees as of Little Sodbury.'
'In 1728....the Manors of the Stephens family came to Richard Packer, whose mother was a Stephens; and on his death....they passed to Elizabeth,2nd wife of David Hartlett, D.D....'
