How To Clean My Shower
Unlike tile cultured marble does not have grout lines to harbor mold & mildew, but over time soap film builds up in any shower or tub. This provides a place for mold & mildew to grow. Eventually the mold will continue to grow in the caulk. Removing the soap film when you clean is the key to keeping any mold & mildew from forming and keeping the shower looking like new.
What cleaner to use is the key. First off Never use anything abrasive like Comet or Ajax, these cleaners will damage the finish over time. Most cleaners are so watered down they will clean germs but are not strong enough to remove soap film. Liquid Laundry Detergent (Tide, Gain etc...) will break down soap film. Put the liquid in a spray bottle, spray it on the walls, shower pan, tub, shower doors etc. and use a soapy wet rag and wipe everything down. then rinse well with warm to hot water. Do not add water to the detergent, use it full strength. On the outside of the shower doors use a glass cleaner.
Never leave anything in the shower that is in a metal can, such as shaving cream. it will rust quickly and will leave a rust ring that can not be removed. Some shaving creams comes in albumin cans that will not rust.
